Brothers and Sisters of the Southwest District,

The Fall New ALTO was successfully submitted last semester and that is a testament to all of the Brothers and Sisters that took the time to submit great articles. So, thank you to all who participated!

ARTICLE INFO:

For the Spring New ALTO, the articles we would like to see in this issue are as follows:

  1. Chapter History - How your chapter pursues and incorporates its own personal history (We would like to get this article from as many chapters as possible)- A few sentences is perfect

  2. Traditions - What does your chapter have?

  3. Membership - Rush, education, continued membership education, history of membership for your chapter, rituals, etc.

  4. Convention- How to host convention? Can a smaller chapter handle it? What are the pitfalls?

  5. Area Workshops - How to host a workshop? 

  6. Technology in chapter - How can it help? How can it hurt?

  7. Could we do service projects outside of the music building?

  8. What kind of Interactions and connections with other fraternities and sororities have you encountered on campus?

  9. Plans to further the name of Kappa Kappa Psi and promoting band programs?

  10. Any other article you see fit

For the 1st article I have listed above, we would like as many chapters as possible to send us a few sentences describing how they pursue and incorporate their chapter's history. DUE DATES:

For the Spring New ALTO, the dates are as follows:

  • All Articles Due- MARCH 16TH!(REVISED MARCH 4TH)

  • New ALTO submitted- April 1st.

SUBMITTING ARTICLES:

  1. Write your article

  2. Make sure somewhere on your article you have the following information: 

    • Title of Article

    • Name of Author

    • Name of Chapter (Including Organization, ex: Tau Beta Sigma - Epsilon Beta

    • Name of School

    • Picture of the Author

  3. Email to the following respective representative for your chapter:

***If you are simply sending your chapters history, you can just email Jessa or myself***
